Monday blues.
Oh Monday, you did not do me right....well quite frankly my entire birthday week did not do me right thanks to a minor sinus infection that turned into a whopping-throw me on the couch-sick for 7 plus days illness (I'm still taking antibiotics!).
So here's hoping the rest of the week drastically improves!

Thoughts for a Thursday...

Happy Friday....
The day is NOT winding down but I am reminding myself {thanks to Kidlark} that everything will, in fact, "Be Okay." As Audrey Hepburn said, "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, 'I'm possible'."
Enjoy your weekends...

Counting down....
Really it has not been a great week, I thought I was joining the rest of the free world with my new ipod but my laptop crashed....died...caput...sayonara. I shipped it off yesterday when I finally received email confirmation I would get a pittance back from the warranty. Yesterday after living four days with no PC I bit the bullet and ordered one. I think I compared more specs than was humanly possible and ended up spending up a little under $1000--great {note the sarcasm}. No shoe shopping for me. The kicker is I have to wait and wait and wait some more.....I should receive the new computer by the close of the month. Can I really make it two and a half more weeks with no computer. It's tough! I may forget what they look like.
And if you'd like to count along....1 day to Georgia, 4 days to a holiday, 14 days to computer, 17 days to a bridesmaid dress, and 40 something until I am at the Southernmost point......things will definitely be improving in about fourteen--to be precise. Wish me luck....

Aisle style....
Sniff, sniff. Cough, cough. I thought I had a cold or seasonal allergies due to the encroaching wedding season. My friend just called and asked me to be her bridesmaid. I had extreme reservations about doing this...personally I would rather be behind the scenes making certain that everything goes as planned.....but a week later I have had a change of heart so to speak....and some words of encouragement from friends. I'm in! It will be fun...hopefully the dress turns out okay.....
Thank goodness my friend in Birmingham is getting married in Hawaii! No bridesmaid duty :)

Google Rx.
Researchers have suggested that Doctors can make use of the Google search engine, for tricky diagnoses. Out of 26 blind tests, and Google correctly diagnosed 15 of the cases. Let's just hope the doctor doesn't press the 'I'm feeling lucky'.
Sad thing is....I think my doctor got this memo. I sat in the room describing my symptoms and the doctor Googled on a laptop. I was in shock and have not gone back. I can Google and I don't have an MD.

No shrinking violets around here.....
Shrink·ing vi·o·let • n. inf. an exaggeratedly shy person
I am definitely no shrinking violet, but I need more of an edge in the competitive business landscape, so this year I have been charged with the task to be assertive, and be assertive I will! Who knows, there might be some truth in the age old cheerleading chant to be aggressive, be, be aggressive.
