Orange you glad....

I am currently lusting after this vintage Hermes tray featured in Olivia Palermo's humble abode. Thankfully I manage to track the exact piece down at First Dibs........Sadly Hermes does not come cheap. $850 later I could have the overpriced tray table. No thanks, but hey a girl can dream.

Into the ocean......

.......of blue October April. Eddie Ross you stole my heart. Eddie's exquisite blue table scape is simple and chic. He spray painted branches white to set the stage then used silver napkin rings and baskets filled with blue and silver Easter candy and hand-glittered eggs. I want to glitter some real eggs and have half a dozen real blown eggs calling my name. Another fun tip is to use two to three table settings that match to create a more interesting place setting. Love.

Tabling the issue..

Lately with annual meeting planning I have become quite obsessed with table arrangements/decorations so here's the blogroll....
1. Tablecloth, similar to these shower curtains at Anthro that I will have one day.2. Love the equestrian look.....but I think I'd sub deer for a wintry feel.3. Sweet book pages, hand labeled.4. Clear bottles filled with candles...much like the look of wine bottles but more airy and fewer tannins.5. Absolutely over-the-top but who doesn't want a giant bird nestled behind their table?6. Love the layers of plates.7. Musical place settings.8. The table that inspired my white Christmas tree
9. Louis ghost chairs with she throws and a rustic table. Yes, please.10. Hodge podge of various chairs.....

Easter egg-stravaganza...

I am patiently waiting and counting the minutes until I head to our adopted school! We are throwing the first graders an Easter party and my car truck SUV is loaded to the brim with Easter baskets for the kiddos. When I shopped for all the goodies Wednesday my buggy was brimming and the gentleman in the line behind me wanted to know if I was a teacher....my response, "I might as well be." I love volunteering and helping out and am so very very looking forward to the party. Thoughts of the party inspired copious amounts of Easter googling and here's a tablescape I found via Southern Living. Yum! And check out my new favorite--Moss!

Brown bagging it....

Well it was definitely a day for a brown bag lunch (too bad I forgot mine!). It is flooding rain here and I forgot my umbrella to make a bad day worse! I left my science class to go see the banquet facility and lo and behold it was flooding rain and I got soaked. A little drowned rat I was. My dry clean only outfit got wet cleaned. But on a brighter note I found this wonderful idea for a menu--a brown bag!A perfect rustic place setting for outdoor entertaining in the summer months to come.

Can I take your order?

After finding my chair, I continued to browse the Room Service sight for good design. Here are some of my picks...granted some are bright and Liberace-esque, but imagine them in more neutral tones.

Metalli-can...

Metal works via Design Sponge. The piece was marked "not a wine rack" and it was transformed into a wonderful table.....reminds me of the Domino horse shoe table.

Barstools and dreamers....

I first spotted bar carts in Domino and wanted one. I had one initially when I moved in, but since it was never stocked I moved it out...plus I could never find the perfect location....but I still love these things. Everything is perfectly organized and easily moved.

Trompe-ooh- l'Oeil-l'Oeil....

So neat. Trompe l'Oeil table covers.
