Soft surroundings...

Oh how I love this chair, and considering how much my little pooch loves lounging on my sheep rug I know where she would be sitting.

Dog days are over.

The horses are coming....so you better come.... Inspired by a little Eat, Pray, Love, Florence and the Machine and my love for my pooch today! I adore this wallpaper for a smallish space.

Ace in the hole.

Today Gilt featured the amazing Ace Hotel in NYC. This hipster hotel features urban style with some serious thrift store finds (a Hubble telescope chandelier) and curious collectibles (stuffed badgers-think Hollister Hovey). The hotel is decorated with original art installations. I think I need a vacay, stat!

Rock on.

The Brits have it. Perfect shade of grey, Union Jack flag, croc couch, shag pillows and vintage table.

Love, love, loving this gigantic Beatles print. Help I need somebody, not just anybody to help me find this print!

Sofa-king cool.

Oh how I am craving a perfect couch {once again}.....I just have taste that supersedes my salary--no biggie. I have always craved the perfect Anthropologie couch, but the I realized what I was really wanting was something with tufts, a Chesterfield inspired-shape, essentially: the anti-couch of Suburbia. See my picks below:
1. Love the tufts, and the deep seat.2. Simple square shape. Love the idea of a perfect box with the arms of the couch sitting squarely on either side. If only this was a metallic linen.3. Love a good vintage print.4. Love bright colors {on furniture--not my clothes}.5. Simple, chic and purposefully-slipped.6. Green. Tufts. Square. Fave.7. Perfectly leather and perfectly regal.8. Love the shape! Skip the black leather.9. Love the shape and studded design.I'm done....but don't you want one. My lust-worthy source: Horchow. And, yes, I realize I just said love more than is socially or linguistically acceptable, but these couches really got me!

Ruffle my feathers.

If I had an opportunity to redo my shower curtains I would "mos def" be going to anthro or Urban for some of these. Drapes, bedding and shower curtains. Oh my.....

Green with envy.

Have I mentioned that if I had to pick a favorite color it would probably be green....or orange. It takes me back a pair of olive New Balances and olive L.L. Bean backpack. Yep, that's right...olive....most nearly a neutral {How I love black and grey}....but I have recently branched forth to wear brighter greens, and one faithful week I realized that on a positive note I had worn color most every day, but on a negative note I had worn all of my bright kelly green shirts. Way to go, me! Most recently I've started thinking about furniture that is less than neutral, and green came to mind....but not the kelly in the top photo. I am falling for the muted lime in the below photo. What do y'all think. *Via Life in the Fun Lane.

By now you all know my taste is eclectic to say the least, and I found another home I enjoy via Micasa. Oh the clutter, oh the boho feel. Take note of the frames, propped mirror and dress stand (I want one).Eames chair, Warhol print and fur rug.

Oh no. Me gotta go....get this bag! Channeling The Kingsmen via Animal House I am madly in love with this vintage Louis Vuitton bag. Circa 1920 and priced at $5K it is definitely beyond my reach but I am dreaming and I just found a new website: One Kings Lane. Basically Gilt for home. Yum!

Design delights...

Bear with me I have several design picks for the week day:
1. White out. Love the table complemented by the stark antler lamp.2. Simple white walls, leather chairs draped in sheep skins with a plush rug and a modern centre table.3. White leather modern couch, flokati rug and glass table. The entire house flows with a mix of lines.4. Taxidermy. Yep, I cannot make it through a design post without the mention of deer busts.5. Loving the zigzag floor with the contrasting graphic wall paper in the rear of the space.6. Moroccan inspired bed/couch and the art installation of flowers on the wall.6. Love the seating arrangement. Leather mixed with a plush couch. The grey cabinetry and the centre cushions covered in Wisteria-style covers.7. Loving the headboard and fur blanket at the base of the bed...not to mention that zebra pelt.8. Mix tape. First off, gray walls and the mix of a comfy Victorian couch with chairs for casual occasional dining.9. The classic Ruthie Sommers pose a la my fave Domino. Love the couch, sconce, mirror, dress....everything.10. Antlers over a fireplace, need I say more?11. Red, white and blue without it being July? Yes, please....if only for the fun of it (see the cut out?)....12. Live, love, laugh. Love the art.13. Antlers, white leather, exposed brick and an animal rug....I could not ask for more.14. Wonderful display of sunglasses...if only I had that many pairs. In my book I consider sunglasses a constant. Pick a look and stick with it. Know what works and they will be your trademark.15. Dark walls, pink and animal. Perfect combo.16. Love the collection of vintage ribbons in the bottom right hand corner.17. Crisp whites mixed with punch sorbet colors.18. Antler, animal, black and white...my go to choices.19. Cute idea for a girls room.20. Mapping out.....21. Outfit to room...gosh darn it, I heart yellow and black. Georgia tech.... 22. I love Christmas and love these cluttered creations.23. Love the white beachy look. It resembles Seaside and Alys Beach. The careful arrangement of stones with manicured grass between is a spectacular contrast.24. Loving the green accents and the kimono charcoal.25. The art print on the back wall vaguely resembles an Anthro copy by Hatchshow Print. Love.26. I adore the look of inside wants out. The windows open the room to the exterior, and the clean lines of the chairs compliment monochromatic nature of the floor....and guess what...the rug! 27. Love the horns. Enough said. Oh and this ones from the designers over at Tracery (good taste if I do say so myself)
