Castles made of sand.

Finally a beach day! I had jumped the gun and gone a few times in March only to find myself shivering and wrapped in three towels...but this Sunday was perfection. 80 degrees with a breeze. After a quick drive over the bridge we were in paradise and got an excellent half day of the sunny rays. I heart the beach now more than ever...not sure that my lobster skin does though.....

Here's lookin' at you kid.....

Friday crave...new sunnies for fall. I have resisted the aviator trend long enough {partially because I cannot find the right shape}, but I may stumbled upon a perfect pair. My Mom has been thumbing through vintage styles and this gave me the inspiration to do a little vintage searching on my own. Hooray! I found the vintage Raybans. I love them...very classic.

Sunnies....

I wear my sunglasses at night all the time....and I am craving these by Chanel. What do you think? Would I look like a bumble bug?

All that glitters....

My life is an organized chaos. I have a full-size closet, but more often than not it takes two walk -throughs to find what I am looking for. Every piece is stuffed onto the racks and I am quickly running out of space. Shoes spill out the door....and my jewelry is another story. My dresser here is smaller than the one at the 'rents so that leaves less space for display, coupled with he fact hat I have a jewelry chest in which to organize jewelry at the 'rents. After organizing jewelry this weekend and realizing I had misplaced pearl earrings, a gold necklace, and a vintage bracelet I knew it was time for a change. Since then I have found the earrings and necklace, but am still missing the elusive bracelet. I have been racking my brain as to how to organize my very disorganized jewelry. I have searched blogs high and low and just requested another jewelry chest (similar to a mini-chest of drawers) from the Moms, then I saw this.....a china/curio cabinet filled of jewelry. Why did I not think of this great idea?? This is exactly how antique shops often do it and it is like your own private boutique....I know Mom is going to suggest the bookcase she just let me have....maybe not, we'll see. After all, the curio is so much prettier and jewelry appropriate. Pretty, please.....
And who could not love the sunglasses display?

Finally Friday...

My outfit choice for the day via Polyvore, a strapless black chiffon dress, white boy tank, large glasses, bronze bangle, brown BCBG leather high belt, brown platform heels, and my yellow Kooba....I must admit the oxfords might be fun {risky, but fun}.
