And talking with a friend today it turns out some people put too much stock in the whole facebook relationship thing..... Why can't I assume it's like the questionnaire at a doc's office, i.e. if you aren't married you're single. Well my two cents for the few of you that actually care is it takes a good year to know either way.....really people can you place that much stock in a social networking site. I {personally} do not think so. So give it up already.

Thursday thoughts.

As all of you know I adore finding inspirational {albeit somewhat lofty} quotes. One of my faves sitting, painted humbly in a corner of my house is by the good lady Coco.Courage is the discovery that you may not win, and trying when you know you can lose. The cultured way of saying: No guts no glory. Sometimes life is worth a chance, a second glance, everything is a risk you just have to know what you are willing to lose to gain what you desire.

And honestly could I make it through an entry without the slightest mention of fashion or style? Nope, didn't think so.

Give me life, liberty....

....and good design. I am positively in love with this arched window. ....and this headboard and comfy couch in front of the bed. It would make a nice resting spot for the never ending mountain of clothes that is my life.

Music magic.

Love, love, love music! And for the record I am greatly lacking in the live music department for the summer....buuuuuttt that is subject to change in about a week. A self-proclaimed lover of jam bands and more mellow music I stumbled upon Phoenix two weeks ago and fell madly/head over heels in love. Some other new picks and some oldies but goodies are: Marcy Playground, MGMT, The Shins, The Kooks, Beck, Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Muse, Ray Lamontagne, The Pogues, Augustana, RHCP, Owl City, Amos Lee and OK Go.

Guilt trip.

My new guilty pleasure. Thanks to a good friend I have a new fave shopping site: Gilt!!! They post new sales every day at 11:00am....I mean serious designer sales. We are talking Marc Jacobs, Missoni, Marni, Judith Leiber, Hype and more. Hurry over there now. You do not know what you have been missing. You're wallet probably won't thank you but your wardrobe will.

Hope you are doing your Mexican hat dance on the way to a Cinco de Mayo celebration today. I have zippo plans {scratch that....there is the possibility of kick ball} yet but will hopefully come up with something {better} soon! So mix up those margs and guac! And in the words of Phish: Oh tequila, I turn to you like a long lost friend. I want to kiss my Mexican cousin once again. Oh cover every emotion from happiness to sorrow and the conversations i forget will tell me about tomorrow, when the phone calls come. Am i in bed or in a hearse the things you tell me about myself can make me feel any worse, well I'm awful sorry you got pissed just have to cross you off the list, of my true friends and tequila is where it starts and where it ends. Stairway to heaven.

Have I mentioned we are having a challenge at work? The challenge, stair climbing. We are divided into teams and tasked with racking up flights of stairs...initially hesitant, I have caved and schlepped up 17 flights today {in 5 inch heels no less}....my team thanks me, but my knees don't. Oh well by the end of the summer my thighs and booty will thank me, after all oil or no oil it is bikini season. Don't worry I'm not competitive at all ;)
