Performance
-noun

7.	the manner in which or the efficiency with which something reacts or fulfills its intended purpose.

It is amazing how a year of your life can be summed into two ominous words and one 8 1/2" x 11" page in 12 pt Times New Roman font. Well, my dear, it can. Those two little words that we have come so much to dread.....performance review......and have been haunting me the past two weeks. My manager is set to schedule my review at his convenience and I have felt like I have been sitting on needles and walking on thin ice since the year started and since January when it was announced what steps the company planned to take in light on the economic situation.....I was beginning to feel like a Johnny Cash song! Walking the line and going down in a burning ring of fire!

Today, I seem at peace with the situation and am working up the final edits to this burdensome document. I wrote it one night last week around 11pm and can certainly tell....but with a few edits I think it will be better than last years, but this year more is on the line.
Thankfully I don't feel like this guy........yet........
