Good things come....

to those who wait...no, no that's not it.....good things.....hmmm. Good things come in small packages. Tiny Texas Houses has made that promise so to speak. This company creates tiny houses that are 99% salvaged. That means that everything from the doors, floors, windows, lumber, porch posts, glass, and even the siding has been saved and used to create these houses. It is the belief of the owner that there are presently enough building materials sitting on the ground to build much of the next generation of housing. All it takes to make it so is pure human ingenuity, energy, spirit, and the desire to build and do something worthwhile.

With energy prices on the rise and the concept of using less people are downsizing due to cost and energy smaller homes are becoming the answer. But I begin to ask the question again: How small is too small? These homes range in price from $38,000 to a maximum of $90,000 and can be built anywhere. They range in size from 10' by 16' to 12' by 28'. How small is too small, well, you are the only one who can answer that.

*Another small option is the Tumbleweed Company.
