When the going gets tough....

....the tough get Christmas! Well I have officially nearly made it through the first quarter of 2009....well in 15 or so days and a million financial/economic explanations later I will! The first quarter of the year is always the hardest, I feel as if I have used the last hour of vacation I will ever have, there is a lull with a significant absence of holidays and I begin to get cranky because I won't let my self take time off, much less the deadlines I have that keep me in the general vicinity of the office! Well I am nearly finished running the vacation marathon where I tell myself, "one more day, then you can take it...." Vicious cycle I tell you! My resolution for next year will most definitely be don't stress the first three months.

But maybe the springtime, the St.Patrick's Day green and the influx of spring breakers is slowing pulling me out of my funk and on the brighter things! I came up with a funk-buster last night when what to my wondering eyes did appear but Christmas trees! I clicked back, back, and more back on a party blog until my eyes met the sparkly trees below! Like I said when the going gets tough, get Christmas!!
The first three are alternate Christmas trees, one made of folded books...did you ever do this to school books?? The next is a beautiful lighted branch tree, pay close attention to the wire deer. It is amazing how the artist creates these sculptures that have so much substance but are made from only wire. I feel in love with these creations in the Christmas (go figure!) Anthropologie catalogue.
And last, but not least--HAPPY NEW YEAR (and new quarter!)
