Oink!

I am certain we have all seen this well circulated image entitled, "this is how the swine flu started." Well, as all of you already know this disease, H1N1, has nothing to do with sharing a smooch with a pig and everything to do with how flu is spread. It all started last night, terrible head ache, soar throat, tiredness....I had the swine flu. I just knew it! Not to mention, three men I work with had recently been out with high fevers, etc. This morning I awake at 3:30am unable to sleep, waiting a few hours before I phoned my ever faithful mom! I decided to hit the doc's office at 7:00 to take a flu test. The flu test is not the most pleasant way to start your day I must say. Unlike the ever-popular strep test that swabs the back of your throat, the flu test swabs not one but BOTH your nostrils. When the nurse greeted me with the swab I quickly opened my mouth all ready for the exam, oh no she said, you nose, we swab your nose. Ooooh, oooh!" I uttered begrudgingly. Two swabs and shock later I had finished my test. 35 minutes later the doctor arrives to proclaim me swine flu free, but I do have a pesky sinus infection.

My head has been buried in a pillow all day and I am just now coming up for air. I have barely emailed and my Blackberry is locked from emailing due to inbox capacity. Tomorrow should be a fun day back at the ranch, eeerrrr office.

I guess I just needed peace of mind.....I am a worry wort!
