Beach beautiful, really can it be?

As all of my blog readers know, I have a love/hate relationship with the beach and warm weather but recently I have been coming across this place over and over. We all remember when Seaside, FL was designed for The Truman Show, but there is another planned community on the horizon--Alys Beach. I had come across images of this place, the Caliza Pool, the Graffiti event, and the fact that India Hicks showed her face! Well I have finally come across where it all began.
These amazing designs were featured in Traditional Home in the August/September 2008 edition and are the work of SoWal designer Georgia Carlee. The design is heavily rooted in the environment, the designer used salvaged would and mimicked architecture of Bermuda and Guatemala. The buildings are pristine and the design is immaculate. Can something be too perfect?
