Each October in the smallish town of Keene, New Hampshire (pop. 22,500) there is a Pumpkin Festival where literally thousands of pumpkins are set aglow to celebrate the season and break world records. Since 1991, the P Fest has set eight Guinness World Records for the most pumpkins in one place. But the festival is not just about setting a world record it is about celebrating the glow of the season (the fall season, that is). Take a look at these photos of fall; some were from Country Living and others were reader submitted. This first one is for Rich, me dearly departed boss that left for the Ham.
Backup singers.
A pumpkin after my own heart.....Christmas on a pumpkin.
More "happy pills" for Rich!
The towering display of scaffolds, some holding up to 1,000 pumpkins and the display has reached up to over 28,000 'kins.
Snowman pumpkin and arrg.
A covey of witches with the cauldron.
The festival begins...
