It is ironic that Garmin's motto on their website is Follow the Leader. I certainly felt as though I was "following the leader" on Friday travelling over to Orange Beach. I got off on the first exit and later took a left at a coffee shop, all of which I remember from past jaunts over. Then I looked down at the mapquest print outs I had made...uh oh! They took my through back roads...oh well, I thought. I'd be fine since I always went this way. A few turns later I starting feeling as though I was in unfamiliar territory....Green Acres to be more precise....then I remembered Sean had mentioned he was taking the "farm" route to avoid tourists earlier in the day, I then realized this was the mapquest route--"the farm route." Nothing I could do but "follow the leader" at this point. It would be like the blind leading the blind. A few emails and phone calls later, Claire and I realized we would in fact survive and more importantly make it to the show. Any funny navigation stories?

Green acres....
My Mother has lectured me over and over about following my Garmin blindly, but I like to believe that eventually it will get me where I am going. I have a poor relationship with the device as well, believing the only way to have a successful Garmin relationship is to trust {blindly}, being that the Garmin is about the only thing I put my 100% trust into. Ignorance s bliss I suppose, being that if I don't trust, then I make myself a nervous wreck by second guessing every twist and turn...but let me tell you about this Friday.
