Ticket to ride....
I've got a ticket to ride....It was field trip time at Allie Yniestra! Last year Ms. Lobley's class visited the zoo, but this year all three kindergarten classes toured the museum. Here are some photos of our fun journey. The trip was fun and the children were excited about everything from the planes to the larger than life mannequins. The trip was marred slightly by a POW camp when the children realized the soldier had been tortured we quickly moved to the next exhibit. They were perplexed by Bob Hope's colorful garb and noticed he failed to lace his shoes (the museum should fix that!) and we also discovered that Carlos' favorite part was....you guessed it--LUNCH! It was no surprise that the children were hungry starting at 11 (their typical lunchtime) and the next hour was met with cries of hunger and wanting to leave the museum. We quickly guided them through the last legs of the museum before crashing on a picnic blanket for sandwiches and cookies. This exhibit had a movie and was set up like the inside of a plane. The kids found an old town seen and of course there was a restaurant with fake food. It was difficult to convince the ravenous children this was plastic and would not be very tasty. The kids got a hold of my camera and they never fail, but to take close ups!The end.
