UF does not only boast a
phenomenal football team, but also good design. Christopher Crawford and Angela Deane met in an art class at Florida . After graduating, Mr. Crawford began working with Teach for America in Compton, California and Ms. Deane was in London, England working with the
Hayvend Art Troupe.

They returned to the Sunshine State for a brief stint, and relocated to the Big Apple in 2001. After holding a plethora of occupations in fashion and art, the pair began to collaborate on business ideas. Although neither had formal training, they channeled inventiveness and determination and later opened their flagship boutique, No. 436. In March of 2002 Christopher Dean was born and in the spring of 2008, Mr. Crawford and Ms. Deane proudly moved into a new space in
Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The designers were featured on
The Real Housewives of New York in Spring of 2009 and are sold at many boutiques including
Anthropologie, which is precisely what brought about this post. Rifling through my closet Wednesday morning I came across my CD dress and almost flipped out. I had purchased it on sale without knowing the designer. Now that's luck~
