Are you recycling that?!?! Today, I met with the Junior Achievement coordinator for my county to volunteer for the upcoming school year. I am very excited about the program and especially excited to get to work with the children {K-5}. I am unsure as to what grade I will be assigned, but would love to have Mrs. Kildow's kindergartners {hint, hint}. Can anyone pull some strings? Honestly, I will be happy to have any class, the kids are always entertaining and the experience is priceless.
But on with the show...I attended the hour and a half long session with two other volunteers {2 gentlemen in flight school}. The coordinator provided us with water, chocolate glazed donuts and Junior Achieve-Mints {cute idea!-making a note of that one!}. On our way out, she stopped the guys making certain they were planning on recycling their bottles...she took the bottles they were still drinking! Sure it makes sense to recycle, but throwing away perfectly good water.....moderately humorous. I think the idea above is a fun recycling idea. An anthro installation that resembles snow! Now that is recycling!!
I am so ready to get my kit and class!!
