Oh poor neglected blog, I am eventually going to catch up on posting! In the meantime I am loving these word plays on the wall.

The horses are coming....so you better come.... Inspired by a little Eat, Pray, Love, Florence and the Machine and my love for my pooch today! I adore this wallpaper for a smallish space.

Reflections...

Mirrors came to mind as I was reflecting on my past year of searching, changing, moving and wondering if every decision I made fit into my plan. As much as you look into a mirror you cannot really change what you see and as I made every decision without looking back I have to trust that they are all for the best....they will all lead in the right and good direction. Here's to new paths and new directions.

Hair bands.

You win some. You lose some...and at the moment I am looking for cute black and white prints for my bathroom. I would prefer a vintage photo of The Beatles or to have one of my prints framed professionally, but aren't these fun. Who cares about humidity?

I think I finally found a suitable solution for my wall...now all I need to do is start collecting donations because I know this beauty doesn't come cheaply.

I am desperately in {want} and need of wall art for my new digs. The empty frames from my last pad have got to go. Currently my only thoughts are subway posters but that's so yesterday....any ideas are greatly suggested! Thanks!

Something from nothing....

I like to think that I can make something from nothing.....and most of the time my creativity wins. Do you remember these ideas from Blueprint? Genius. You can increase the size of small letter, envelope or photo and make an over-sized art print for you office or living room. See what you can dig up. Urban Nest used this idea for wedding invites, but I am leaning toward a vintage letter Christmas card (go figure), envelope or vintage photo {yum!}......

What fools these mortals be!

....Nothing like a little writing on the wall for a Saturday am, right? For all who thought wallpaper was dead-Tracy is bringing paper back! Tracey is no mortal fool and her line of unique wall coverings features everything from cutlery and sequins to stitched Shakespeare. I found the Shakespeare at Anthro, but had seen the cutlery for years and finally know the source. Tracy caters to each client's needs and always keeps designs simple and current. She updates shapes and designs for each project and treats the paper more as textile, or the ancient papyrus. The paper is woven to create 3-D effects to place on otherwise flat spaces {walls}.Although I can't promise that these designs will last or that you will want to see them 100 years from now {as the quote from William Morris suggests}, I do know that they are timeless and inspiring complements for small spaces-a closet, a bathroom, a child's room, behind a book case, or as art above a fireplace. This is simply not your mother's wallpaper-thankfully!Which one{s} do you want?

Get cooking...

Cupcakes taking the cake....well, cupcake liners. These liners from MS Living are perfect low-cost creative solutions.
One use is to create a tree and use these as flowers. I saw a Free People display and it was astonishing. Also AT used these as a cute children's garland.

Twist and shout....

Paper art. A must share that reminds me of some Pottery Barn copies I made last Christmas.
