Resolving to change.

Sure I've never been one to make resolutions, but this year is different I would like to make some changes:

1. Get organized and declutter.

2. Clean out my shrinking closet.
3. Find some focus.

4. Make new friends.

5. Navigate without a GPS.

6. Find a church.

7. Lose 10 pounds....and lose 10 more.

8. Don't waffle {or rather improve on my indecisive tendencies}.

9. Don't be a shrinking violet.

10. Drink less Diet Coke.

We'll see how I stack up on these come January 2011.

Happy New Year! I am looking forward to a fresh start....what did you all resolve to do?

Noah's ark....

And the animals came in two by two...and twelve by twelve. It's nearly time to find a calendar for 2011 and I think this one more than suffices.

The funniest thing on the MSN homepage this morning mentioned resolutions relating to astrological sign...no I never read my horoscope--except to prove it wrong, but these were quite good. I chose Leo and Virgo since I fall on the tail end of the lion.

Quite good, don't you think? Leo=creativity, hence my blog and Virgo=positivity, hence my last post. Although I'm certain I could have justified any of these...do you hear the cynicism taking over?

The road ahead.....

Not one for resolutions....I rarely keep them and have not made one in years. Instead I am choosing to focus on the positive, do things whole-heartedly, better understand people, stay in touch, don't sweat the small stuff and overall worry less {although I'm sure Mom and others would beg to differ}, remember more birthdays (starting yesterday!), smile, and a final funny one-eat more carbs-courtesy of TB......What is your resolution?"What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us are tiny matters compared to what lives within us." Prolate spheroid....

John Heisman said, "It is a prolate spheroid in which the outer leather casing is drawn tightly over a somewhat smaller rubber tubing. Better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football." I definitely had a fun, football-filled weekend spending New Years in the Crescent City and attending the Sugar Bowl the day after.Thankfully the Gators were victorious. After hearing the grunts of a million Bearcats I was thrilled to see them shutout quickly.Baby Bacchus sits on top of the Jax Brewery....you can kind of see him resting in the corner. No, we did not witness the baby plummeting to the ground but we did barely make it inside for New Years following a great dinner.A poor shot....sadly I didn't get to snap as many as I would have liked and didn't get all the angles I wanted. I'm prepping for KW though since it will just be a girl's trip I can take pictures irreverently just like I did in Chi. Sans photo-ops (or the lack thereof) it was a great trip and a great way to spend New Years.

Nearly new year.....

...and a very sweet surprise. Some flowers and a necklace from Dejarnette in NOLA. Vintage Mardi Gras doubloon. Some other pieces from Dejarnette. Glass ball bubble necklace, key, and tiny Crescent City charm. Love them.

Feathercast...

A little less than two weeks from now I will be on my way to NOLA for New Years.....already wondering what the weather will hold for the feather (fashion + weather) forecast. I know I need two things at least....something dressy for NYE and some orange and blue for the Sugar Bowl. I tried to scout out O+B yesterday...but no luck...looks like I may be wearing the same stuff from the SEC Champ game.....
